the new Coldplay officially releases today. most will reference it by its shorter, more palatable moniker, Viva La Vida. irony slashes the air today, however.

Robert Mugabe, the crazed dictator of Zimbabwe, continues to violate his country’s trust in every imaginable way. this man must be stopped. to date in his presidency he has burned up the farmlands and curled Zimbabwe’s borders inward. he spits defiant curses at the suggestion of outside intervention.

in fact, any intervention, even democratic, meets a fierce and evil response. Mugabe kidnaps his opposition and charges them with treason. treason is punishable by death. a bullet in the head would be a welcome change from his typical m.o. - Mugabe ordered the brutally disgusting murder of an opponent’s wife. his henchmen cut off her hands and then burned down her house…with her still inside. as one with eyes to see has put it, "Mugabe has become a demon."

what’s worse, Mugabe parades as a person with a conscience, attending U.N. meetings when he flatly refuses the ethic behind them.

PRAY. pray hard. that the Lord would intervene with an intervention that cannot be rejected. that death and all his friends might be silenced and the life might return.
