venerate our veterans

I’ve been called for jury duty. BIG WHOOP. I have never even been selected to serve.

my father, my father-in-law, my grandfather, my grandfather-in-law. HEROES.

regardless of the extent of their involvement, these men actually served. in a war. these men deserve a measure of honor I never will. thankfully, 3 of the 4 are still living.

gentlemen, I salute you, your fallen friends, and those serving even now. you have my highest respect.

though I’ll never know the depth of their experience, I come closer by entering a similar story. if you haven’t already, I heartily recommend the following:

if you have seen them, watch them again. and then thank your lucky stars (all 50 of them) that you’re alive and safe and free and a son or daughter of liberty.
