Clinton, Obama, & a frybrid
this past week I was in Pennsylvania, and the Democratic primary was, well, primary. it splattered every news reel, newspaper, and e-news site. thankfully, I’m an Independent Texan and have no sway or say in PA.
in tuesday’s edition of Intelligencer Journal, the front page displayed two key articles. one was about the primary. the other was about frybrids. yes, frybrids. vehicles that use used cooking oil. not only does it save waste by using the used oil, it’s also carbon-neutral. oh yeh, the vehicles get 30-45 miles/gallon, too.
you can tell which front page story demanded more of my attention.
the Metro Express pizza chain has already converted several of their vehicles and stand to save over $25,000 this year alone. and that’s after factoring in paying the drivers. another side benefit is that, "When you drive down the street, it smells like french fries or funnel cakes." a perpetual state fair. God bless America!
here’s a video of someone doing a similarly amazing trick - running a car using water for fuel. surely our creativity is not limited to Regular, Midgrade, and Premium?
