have fun, feed people

it doesn’t get much easier than this. seriously. go to the freerice site and check it out: test your vocab, feed people. as my wife Eva said, "i thought to myself, ‘while i sit here and eat my rice for lunch, i can at least play the game and help someone else have a lunch.’" logical. neighborly.
the first time i played i donated 100 grains of rice. that’s not much, but it’s something. and keep it in context - when i logged on and contributed my 100 grains, i read that "347,318,980 grains of rice [were] donated yesterday."
this is a community effort. worldwide. to date, over 27 billion grains have been donated. you can see the amounts by month and by country.
so, the challenge is on! let me know how many grains you donate. can you beat my record on your first try?

I could only get to 100 on my first try but the last selection was a lucky guess. I kept going and got up to 220 by guessing well. And I think I will take after Eva and try to do this daily.

it seems appropriate that a bean would have the high score with rice.

I hit 980, but for some reason they started me at a low level. Oh well, more food!

Darn you bleek - I am now addicted to FreeRice. 3620 and growing. Unfortunately, I am hovering around 32-34.
